As I’m pretty sure nobody actually reads this, then it shouldn’t really matter whether or not I finish the story of the Sputnik plant, but basically it happened exactly as I feared.
After a week in Spain, what was a fabulously spiky bud, was no more than a shrivelled ball. It’s quite sad really, but f**k it, Spain was great.
After Spain, I totally intended to post about our adventures and put the photos up, but it all just slipped by the wayside.
So, I’m gonna try and get everything up to date over the next few days. So stand by for Spain, wickerman, and any other stuff that I remember about from over the last couple of months.
Hey folks.
Well, after a slow start, the budnik is finally maturing at a much faster rate. The following photos were taken a few days ago. If you haven’t already, you should probably be able to see where this is going now.
Anyway, take a peek at the photos. I’ll try and post some more over the weekend if I remember.
I’ve also got a horrible feeling that it’s going to flower when I’m on holiday. We’ve got a house sitter in though, so I’ll try and arm her with a camera.

It’s looking a bit more interesting now.

Exrreme Close Up!
I’ve noticed that you don’t really get a good idea of the scale from these shots. I’ll try and make it a bit clearer next time.
Well, the Sputnik plant doesn’t grow as quickly as I hoped it would. It’s been nearly a week since I first noticed the Budnik and there’s been hardly any noticeable growth.
Here’s a couple more pics. Hopefully you can tell that the Budnik is slightly bigger than last time. I promise it will get more interesting (I hope), I just don’t know when.

I think this shows the growth a little better
I’ll keep you updated when I see more growth. Hopefully it will speed up a bit as it gets bigger.
We bought a plant from Ikea a few years ago. It was kind of tropical looking, and quite pretty. We stuck it in the bathroom and apart from the odd bit of water, ignored it. Until……
After we’d had it for a while we noticed that it had a weird branch sprouting out of it. it was longish, and had a bit of a ball on the end with shoots coming off it.
I’m not going to describe it anymore, but we eventually named it the Sputnik plant. I’m sure you can work out why.
Anyway, I noticed this morning that it’s sprouting again so I thought I’d follow it’s progress on the blog. I’m not particularly into botany or anything, it’s just a really cool, weird plant. I’m gonna try and take photo’s once or twice a day. Here are the ones from this morning:
Hey folks,
Sorry that I haven’t posted for a while, but I haven’t really had a lot to say.
I found this site the other day: http://www.moillusions.com/ and as I love optical illusions, I’ve been glued to it. There’s some pretty crazy stuff on the site, and it’s well worth browsing the archives.
It also has the added bonus of making people look stupid as they bob there head about in front of their monitor

I’ve finally made a start on personalising the design of pukenet. Please feel free to bask in the greeny radiance of my new logo
I know it’s nothing amazing, but I’m actually quite proud of it. I drawed it myself in Photoshop (with a little help from an online guide, but only a very little), and uploaded it to the site. It was actually a bit harder than I expected as the title in the header ended up partially covering the logo and it took ages to work out how to edit the css to change it.
Anyway, it’s done now. I will probably edit some more bits and peices when I can be bothered, though I actually like the way it is now to be honest.
This would probably seem so worth it if anybody actually read my blog
So, Hales Bar has free wifi, and word press works on my phone

It’s not often that you go to the pub and come home with more money than you went with and a bottle of wine, but that’s what I did last night.
A few of us went to the quiz at the Alexandra, and I think for the first time in my life I was part of the highest scoring team. Unfortunately, the quiz has a bit of an unusual format. Instead of simply giving the team who get them most right answers the top prize, for every question a dice is rolled and if you get the question right you move that number of spaces on a snakes and ladders board. We got 29 out of 35, more than any other team, but hit every snake on the board so ended up with the 3rd prize of some drinks tokens. I was quite disappointed about it really.
My mood improved though when I won a bottle of wine in the raffle, then £20 at bingo. Altogether, our team won 6 free drinks, 3 easter eggs, a bottle of wine and £20. Not a bad night out really
The only problem is, I had three pints, and being such a lightweight I’m really feeling today. I’m not exactly hung over, but I feel tired and groggy. Why are quizzes always on a Monday night?
Anyway, cheers to the team for a good night out. As well as being winners we had a good laugh….. Especially Ness who could probably have been heard from China
Hopefully this will generate a notification on Facebook under my account and not Jericho’s.
